Virgin Atlantic owner, Richard Branson, pledges $250 million to help employees

Calling the current coronavirus pandemic "the biggest crisis the world has experienced in my lifetime," Branson wrote on his blog this week that his employees are his primary focus.   

Branson’s empire, which includes Virgin Airlines, has had to ground almost all of its planes, the cruise line had to postpone its planned launch, and health clubs and hotels have had to close their doors. Despite this, "Our people have and, will always be, my number one priority," Branson said. "It is their future job security and their well-being that I am 100 percent focusing on, in these frightening and unprecedented times."
