People Analytics Board (July) - Skill-Based Workforce Planning

Strategies to attract and retain talent have been top of mind for executives in organizations across the board. And, while the job market is still tight, some executives are putting a pause on hiring and beginning to discuss their reduction in force strategy. How do leaders determine who to hire and/or retain given the skills required for future organization success?

During our July 19th People Analytics Board meeting, we will focus on people analytics' role in skill-based workforce planning and how it can help navigate the ever-changing organizational landscape. During the meeting, members will discuss how they:

  • Determine when to build skills with career development and when to buy skills with external hiring
  • Marry labor market data with internal skill inventories to map skill gaps for long-range planning
  • Integrate HR systems with business operations systems to align talent needs with business needs
