2024 Priorities for EMEA HR Leaders – EMEA Next Practices

What’s next for the human capital profession?

Each year, i4cp gathers priorities and predictions about the coming year from global heads of HR, talent, learning, talent acquisition, DEI, total rewards, and people analytics. Needless to say, amidst accelerating demand for corporate agility, increased focus on workforce productivity, and a rise in geopolitical tensions, challenges abound—but so do opportunities.

In this session, Mustafa El Rafey, former SVP Talent Management, Starbucks and former SVP Human Capital, Majid Al Futtaim Retail, joined Tom Stone, Sr. Research Analyst, i4cp for a discussion that expands upon the viewpoints shared in the 2024 Priorities and Predictions report. In particular, they discussed the following four key predictions for 2024:

  1. High-performance organizations will step up HR’s involvement in AI strategy.
  2. Forward-looking organizations will create future-of-work leadership roles.
  3. Culture measures—both quantitative and qualitative—are now expected.
  4. Macro pressures will continue to drive workforce divisiveness and challenge HR.
