HERO DEI 2024 DEC11 ERGs

Employee Resource Groups as Value Creators for the Business - DE&I Exchange

i4cp’s report The Untapped Power of Employee Resource Groups found that within high-performance organizations, ERGs are viewed as strategic, not tactical. High-performance organizations are 2x more likely to describe their ERGs as effective or very effective. Connecting ERG activity to broader business goals is key to the groups’ perceived effectiveness, helping them transcend their legacy perception as primarily affinity-focused networking entities. When ERGs are tapped as strategic drivers for the business, group members and leaders are more engaged in their work—within their groups and in their everyday roles.

In this meeting, members are invited to share examples of how ERGs strategically impact business results.

Takeaways:

  • Examples of how ERGs lead, or are included in, interesting and challenging projects that push strategic business initiatives
  • Types of training most effective for ERG leaders and the benefits of their use
  • Critical ways high-performance organizations set up their ERGs for success, and how they measure that success
