How we created CompenBot

CompenBot was co-developed by Katie Donohue, an HR executive with decades of global compensation experience, and Judy Albers, a GPT builder who specializes in making AI assistants for HR professionals. The result is a guided conversation tool that brings clarity to decision-making, while keeping managers firmly in control.

Is a paid subscription required?
No. CompenBot works with a free OpenAI account. You do not need GPT-4.

How do I ensure privacy?
We recommend turning off chat history:

→ Go to Settings → Data Controls → Toggle “Chat history & training” OFF
Paid users can also enable temporary chat for full privacy.

What if ChatGPT isn’t approved in my organization?
CompenBot can be recreated on other platforms that support custom GPTs or assistants, including:
