Melissa C. Thompson to Chair i4cp’s Talent Acquisition Board
The Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp) announced today the appointment of Melissa C. Thompson as 2022 Chair of i4cp’s Talent Acquisition Board.
Thompson is the Global Head of Talent Acquisition for Ford Motor Company. She joined in November of 2021; her focus will be on transforming Talent Acquisition to meet the needs of Ford’s strategic business imperative (Ford+).
In her role as Chair of the Talent Acquisition Board, Thompson will lend her expertise to help drive the 2022 agenda and research focus around talent sourcing, attraction, and retention. Membership on i4cp’s Talent Acquisition Board is reserved exclusively for the senior-most talent acquisition leader in organizations. It is designed to serve as a true Board of Directors for the function and ensure its members are in the driver’s seat of organizational innovation.
“i4cp provides me with the opportunity to hear outside-in thinking and consider what next practices may be in the Talent Acquisition space. At the same time, it provides a regular forum for me to meet with other global TA leaders to share best practices, float new ideas, and even commiserate when things are challenging,” Thompson said.
Prior to joining Ford, Thompson served as SVP, Talent Acquisition at Nielsen, and Vice President Talent Acquisition, McGraw-Hill Education. She is on the Board of Directors and a charter founding member of the Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals (ATAP).
