The Intersection of DEI & TA and the Opportunities & Challenges for DEI of GenAI

We had a successful session networking with members of i4cp’s Talent Acquisition Board at our joint in-person meeting at Sony Pictures Entertainment in Culver City, CA.  Agenda items included:

• Better. Business. Together. The intersection of DEI and TA – How do CDO’s partner with their counterparts in the acquisition function to ensure a sustainable and inclusive talent strategy. (And how do we leverage EVP as a driver for both functions.)
• The language of DEIB – In light of recent legal/political challenges, how should DEI practitioners rework their nomenclature and messaging to reinforce the business criticality of the function while decreasing the risk of being targeted for advancing equity practices.
• The opportunities and challenges for DEI of GenAI – How are CDO tapping into GenAI, and how are they monitoring for bias as their organizations adopt new uses for the technology.
• What’s next for DEI? – The current environment has created an inflection point that’s causing many companies to examine their diversity and inclusion operations.  What strategies are CDO’s looking at for the future of their organizations? How can we lead the discussion – not as auditors of current practices or defenders of the need, but as advocates armed with a perspective on the way forward.
