i4cp is proud to announce that Dr. Jac Fitz-enz will provide ongoing thought leadership to its Evidence-Based HR Exchange, a research working group consisting of nearly 20 large organizations that examine the intersection of HR analytics and business strategy.

Evidence-based HR is an approach to strategically managing and measuring talent to help human resources more effectively drive the business. It enables leaders to know which human capital practices are most effective and what needs to be reexamined, and provides the platform necessary to prove the real business impact of talent initiatives. But an evidence-based approach to HR is easier said than done.

The Evidence-Based HR Exchange is an exclusive and collaborative group of peers that seeks to enhance organizations' abilities to:
  • Use scientific and data-based approaches to solving human capital management issues
  • Learn from peers about what's working and what's not working though a collaborative practitioner network
  • Add value more directly to the business through enhanced business acumen
  • Build systematic practices and frameworks that reduce bias, improve business decisions and enhance organizational learning.
  • Transform the HR function into a strategic leader aligned with business objectives
Dr. Jac , as he is known in human capital management circles, will work closely with i4cp and group members to take the Evidence-Based HR Exchange to the next level. He is acknowledged as the father of human capital strategic analysis and measurement, having developed the first HR quantitative reporting system in 1978. He has published 12 books and over 350 articles, reports and book chapters on measurement and strategic HR management.

"I welcome the opportunity to work with i4cp's Evidence-based HR Exchange members as they strive to create a vision and systematic approaches to building workforce architecture. Our work is about planning, predicting and performing - and managing today's competencies to build tomorrow's capabilities," Dr Jac said.

“To be able to learn directly from Dr. Jac is an invaluable experience,” said Tom Sullivan, Manager of Workforce Analytics at Sprint Nextel Corporation and a member of the Evidence-based HR group, “not only from a human capital perspective, but also a general business perspective, which combined, can transform human resources into a strategic partner influencing who, how and why work gets done.”

“Dr. Jac is a legend in the world of workforce analytics - and what a treat it is to have him as part of the Evidence-based HR exchange," said April Sandoval, another group member and Senior Manager of Workforce Analytics at Cisco. "His experience coupled with the reality of where HR is today brings clarity to where we need to go and the challenges we are up against. What an opportunity we have in front of us to make a difference on how our companies use workforce information to impact the bottom line.”

And Vikas Malhotra, Director of HR Metrics and Management at American International Group, Inc., added, “I think it is a great advantage to have someone with the experience and knowledge of Jac to lead our Exchange group. His knowledge will help guide this group and promote us to the next level in HR analytics.”
