Data Governance and Administration

We took a deeper dive into analytics and discussed the importance of data governance and administration in your organization. We were joined by Patti Phillips, Chair of i4cp’s People Analytics Board and President & CEO of the ROI Institute, Kevin Martin, Chief Research Officer at i4cp, and 25 Workforce Analytics Exchange company members.

Data governance is the foundation to data-driven decision making. Yet, i4cp’s 2014 study on that topic revealed that more than one-half had no method of data governance whatsoever.  We considered the following questions in our discussion:

• What is the state of data governance at your organization today?
• What is working well and what are the barriers/ restrictions you are running into when it comes to data governance and administration?
• What tools / frameworks are your organization using to help with data governance and administration?
• What are the implications for data governance through the lens of strategic workforce planning, executive leadership, and performance management and engagement.
