Many thanks to Dr. John Boudreau and Tom Stone for leading the engaging conversation on The New Work Operating System. As discussed, deconstructing jobs to tasks has implications for many things including
· Identification of task automation opportunities.
· Leveraging skills for tasks outside a person's job.
· Measuring leadership and its impact on employee engagement when people are involved in projects from different areas, led by different leaders.
· Designing systems that focus on tasks versus jobs and reskilling/upskilling to tackle the tasks remaining (or created) as a result of automation.
