Supporting HR to Thrive through Resilience-Building

Over the past two years, HR practitioners have been integral to business continuity as they’ve steered their organizations through the pandemic, transition to remote and hybrid work, and the journey to becoming a more just and equitable workplace. The HR function stepped up in a big way and in doing so, elevated their visibility, significance, and recognized contributions to the business. HR practitioners have led from a place of resilience during these trying times and can benefit from the same well-being resources and practices that they preach to their exhausted employees.

In this session, Marie Potter, Senior Director, Culture & Development at Getty Images and new Exchange Lead, shared how her team has supported the HR function to not only persist, but to thrive. Members were challenged to turn their focus inwards to discuss the well-being strategies that have increased our resiliency, renewed our sense of purpose, and kept us connected.

Questions explored included:

  • What are you doing to ensure that you first take care of yourself before you attempt to help others?
  • How can HR and work teams monitor and rebalance workloads to ease pressure?
  • How can we stop doing unnecessary tasks and work to reclaim time in our days?

Building on groundbreaking research by both i4cp and Rob Cross, the Employee Well-Being Exchange is a peer-driven community working group that explores the relational sources of well-being, how personal networks impact this, and the tools to support individual performance and well-being.

This meeting is exclusively for members of the Employee Well-Being Exchange. If you'd like to participate, please contact us to see if you qualify. If you are an i4cp member, please log in to access the registration/meeting details.
