The Future of Work / Workplace Issues

Thanks to all who were able to attend our July 17th CHRO Board meeting.  

A few highlights:

  • We welcomed three new members to our Board:
    • Judy Carter – BNSF Railways
    • Clint Wallace – Sanofi North America
    • Holly Waters – Transamerica
  • Kevin Martin, John Boudreau and Jay Jamrog led a discussion based on how to leverage and sustain the lessons learned from this unprecedented period of time dealing with a global pandemic. A subgroup of our Board, (Dave Gartenberg, Loren Heeringa, Lisa Manzone, Felecia Pryor and Judy Zagorski), worked with us to create a draft framework to help think through the current and future states, as well as the significant change that must be managed to bridge that chasm. This will continue to be an area we refine and define with this Board.
  • Mark Englizian reviewed a new development cohort focused on ‘CHRO readiness’ which is designed for members of an organization’s HRLT. This the repurposed “CHRO Next Board” and our Board provided valuable feedback on how to ensure the strongest value. This 6-month cohort will launch in the Fall of 2020 and will be capped at 12-15 cohort participants from i4cp Member organizations.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Our next meeting is on Thursday, September 17th. Due to the pandemic, rather than an all-day in-person meeting, we will hold two, 90-minute virtual meet-ups that day: 8am PT/11am ET, and 1:30pm PT / 4:30pm ET.  Please make sure those times are blocked on your schedule. We have exciting plans for each time block. I will send you a separate email next week that provides details about those two meet-ups.
