The autumn i4cp Talent Acquisition Board meeting was held on October 18-19 in Oak Brook, IL. We were joined by the i4cp Chief Learning & Talent Officer Board. The meeting was hosted by Rob Lauber, SVP & Chief Learning Officer at McDonald’s.

Melanie Steinbach, Chief Talent Officer and Rob Lauber will review the collaboration that lead to the campaign, the model behind it, and where it goes next.
1:00 – 2:00 Topic 1 Roundtable: The Employee Experience
We’ll explore the relationship between the candidate experience, the candidate promise, and the employee experience.
2:00 – 2:15 BREAK
2:15 – 3:05 Topic 2 Roundtable: You Get What You Measure
We’ll discuss the metrics and analytics commonly used to measure Talent Acquisition and Talent Development and what should be on our common dashboards.
3:05 - 4:00 Topic 3 Roundtable: Getting the Right Skill Sets
We’ll ask how the rules, practices and processes we use internally differ from those we employ to adding the right capabilities from the outside and whether there are opportunities for cross-adoption.
4:00 – 5:00 Presentation/Discussion: How Artificial Intelligence is changing the face of Talent Acquisition, Development and Management.
Marlene Jia, COO of TopBots will talk about the growing role of AI and how it will change how we do our jobs and the skills we need to succeed at them.

10:15 – 11:15 Presentation: Innovation & Organizational Agility
Kevin Oakes & Kevin Martin will give us a first look at the just completed research on the critical role that talent development plays in improving innovation at top performing companies. Additionally, they will preview i4cp’s upcoming research on organizational agility, & specific practices gleaned from recent interviews with CHRO’s of several next practice companies
11:15-12:00 -We’ll take some time to discuss TA Research and matters that are top of mind for Board members with an eye toward future meeting topics and special virtual meetings.
