Organizational network analysis (ONA) at Black Hills Corp & i4cp Culture Survey Results

We just completed our virtual meeting and here is a quick summary of the meeting:

  • We heard from Jennifer Landis and Tim Shirley at Black Hills Corporation about how they have successfully used the organizational network analysis (ONA). Among other insights, they received very useful information on how to significantly improve their communications approach.

  • Kevin Martin and Jay Jamrog presented an early draft of results of the recent culture survey sponsored by our Board. Insights of this research include (1) Transformation success correlates strongly with training vs. restructuring, (2) Culture change focused on the future of the company leads to much more success than focusing on poor performance and (3) The “Healthy Culture Index” quantifies the less tangible components of a culture. There are many more insights, and we’ll talk more about this in January.

  • We finished with a request to complete the “2019 key priorities” survey. This will help us structure our meeting agendas that most closely align with the issues you are focused on.
