Role

The Senior Research Analyst will spearhead research studies, present findings to HR executives, act as an industry thought leader, and help guide research direction and strategy. This position reports to the Chief Research Officer.

Impact you will drive as the Senior Research Analyst

  • You’ll be responsible for conducting quantitative and qualitative research on the people practices that deliver high-market performance, originating research topics which focus on Next Practices in human capital, and provide thought leadership and practical guidance to i4cp member companies.
  • The position will involve creating compelling research hypotheses, organizing, and managing a Research Advisory Council made up of a cross-functional mix of senior human capital executives, creating detailed surveys, analyzing data, running correlation analysis, and authoring insightful reports and other assets.
  • You’ll author web-based articles and create other resources summarizing research insights and contributing to the development of usable tools (e.g., frameworks, models, etc.).
  • As appropriate, you’ll present research findings to organizations and at select conferences, translate data into actionable insights and provide credible advice and guidance to senior HR leaders and CEOs (Chief Executive Officers) at Fortune 500 organizations.
  • Also, you’ll act as research support to one or more i4cp community groups and present to them.
  • You’ll also work closely with the CEO and executive team on strategic thought leadership projects the company may undertake.
  • You’ll be viewed as a thought leader for i4cp and develop relationships with appropriate CHROs (Chief Human Resource Officers) and other HR executives.

  • Communicative – Exchange thoughts and ideas effectively (both written and verbal), with strong credibility, conciseness, and storytelling ability
  • Attentive to detail – Thoroughness in accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small
  • Project manage – Ability to advance projects through the critical stages while delivering on tasks as well as facilitating input from stakeholders across the organization
  • Insight driven – Ability to convert data from multiple sources into usable insights and to create compelling stories for practitioner-ready resources

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (ex., a Ph.D. in I/O psych; or a Master’s in HR Management or Business) or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience conducting research studies in HR and related fields
  • At least 3 years of experience interacting with HR leaders
  • Strong consulting or practitioner background
  • Portfolio and/or original writing sample
