Chris has been the CEO, President, and CFO, respectively, of several prominent Portland businesses, including Pulse Health, Kronos, Unicru, E*Trade, CCS, Greenbrier and STS. He also has been on the boards of a variety of companies and charitable organizations throughout the United States.
Chris's latest business venture is Pulse Health, a company that developed and patented technology to test through the breath for certain diseases (blood sugar levels, pulmonary diseases, cloistral, free radical damage).
Chris began working with Pulse Health in April 2007 as a key outside advisor and an early angel investor. Chris became Chairman of the Board in October 2007 and CEO in January 2008. He oversaw the creation of Pulse's first prototype product, negotiated a critical licensing agreement with its research firm, and raised $2.3M in a series "A" Round of financing that closed in less than two months. In June 2009, Pulse closed a $26M initial commitment for its Free Radical Damage diagnostic tool with a large nutritional supplement manufacturer and distributor.
Prior to Pulse Health, Chris was an executive at Unicru (later to be acquired by Kronos). He joined Unicru in April 2001 as CFO/COO. Within one year, he became President and then CEO.
Chris holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Oregon State University. He currently serves as a Board member of the Oregon Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. In addition he also serves on the Board of Directors of the following companies: Aisle 7, Inc.; Hubcast, Inc.; Henningsen Cold Storage; and i4cp.
